Initiative #4: Premiere Organization
Maintain reputation as a premier service organization

• CCRC has garnered local, state, national and international press coverage from outlets including ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, NPR, Telemundo, Univision, The San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles Business Journals, Chicago Magazine, and Kids in the House online parenting website
• CCRC was honored by the Chatsworth/Porter Ranch Chamber as outstanding Non-Profit of the Year
• Revenue generating events increased from two to five per year including Laps4Literacy, our signature Antelope Valley event in partnership with the Lancaster JetHawks baseball team
• Created a hugely successful volunteer program with over 1,000,000 volunteer hours logged
• Established collaborative relationships with Washington Mutual, PNC Bank, Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, 3M, Zurich Insurance, Risk Insurance Management Society (RIMS), AmWINS, CRESA Partners, Premier America Credit Union, Medtronic, and others
• The Finance Department increased efficiency and effectiveness of internal functions through a streamlined funder-approval process, detailed financial analysis and budget reporting, and enhanced inventory and fixed assets systems management Several independent financial audits have had no findings or recommendations for improvement
• CCRC moved child care providers and staff from a “paper” check to an electronic payment system The results have been tremendous with providers and staff receiving their payments faster, less chance of manual errors, no lost mail Over $100,000 has been saved in postage costs and staff time sorting, folding and stuffing checks and stubs into envelopes
• Information Technology staff conducted an internal audit of the agency’s technological processes and systems and implemented changes that resulted in over $500,000 in savings Connectivity at and between sites has been improved, upgraded servers have resulted in better performance and increased system availability, and increased storage infrastructure resulted in triple the storage capacity and improved server performance
The dedication, innovation, and creativity of the CCRC Board and staff has made a measurable impact on the well-being of children and their families. We are very grateful for the work they do.
